Stepping Out Of The Shadows!!

My week study this week was about the Light of Christ! It felt like a perfect week for this because it was bright and sunny outside everyday, but in the mornings it was a little cold! I'll explain why in a second!
My favorite talks from this study are:
- Bearers of Spiritual Light (Uchtdorf Oct. 2017)
- Out of Darkness into his marvelous light (Hales Apr. 2002)
- Brighter and Brighter until the perfect day (Bragg Apr. 2017)

Throughout my study here is what I learned: the Light of Christ is given to all, and is enlightenment, knowledge, and an uplifting, ennobling, persevering influence that comes upon us because of Jesus Christ. The light of Christ is always there! In the conference talk by Bragg he says, " even in the most difficult and darkest of times there is light and goodness all around us." I feel like the best way to follow that quote is another by Uchtdorf, "Darkness is not an indication that there is no light. Most often, it simply means we're not in the right place to receive the light." In the mornings, we would be sitting in the shade doing our studies, and feel kinda cold... until we stepped out from underneath the cover and stepped into the light. I feel like that is what we have to remember to do sometimes! We are always told to stand in holy places, sometimes we just gave to place our heart in the path of the light of Christ! Fun fact: Sunlight is a natural mood booster! That is how the light of Christ is too! Satan is really good at finding and placing shadows in our days through trials we may be facing, conflicts, or even bad weather- but my mom always says to carry your own weather! Carry around that sunshine- because "Darkness must always surrender, to even the faintest light." I invite you all to find something, a scripture, a small rock, a song- anything that brings light into your life- because I know that joy comes from the little things in life! One thing that the mission has taught me so far is that it was the little things that I did with my family, that I miss the most! Find your one thing- and make sure you can remember it or look at it in your times of shadow!

We were doing calls, and there was a lady that we called who was adamant that our earthly life was the only chance we had to choose to follow Christ. It was so sad, she genuinely believed that one of her friends was going straight down because he wouldn't accept Christ- but I know that everyone has the chance to accept the Gospel in the spirit world, our loving Heavenly father created a plan that will save everyone- everyone who came to the earth!
There is this guy that has been being taught for ages- and he is the sweetest! We planned to visit him on Friday, but he thought Thursday, so he made us dinner on Thursday, and then he figured out that we planned for Friday so he made food for us again! And then we couldn't enter his house because it was just him, so he took us out to eat! He's super hard to understand, but I was able to understand him, and talk with him about all sorts of things haha- like how my dad has cows at my house rn! (He works with horses and cows) When we had to leave, he gave us the food he made for us for tomorrow, (when I said thank you, he said "God gave me food to give to everyone") but we weren't going home because we had other visits- but we had a visit that hadn't happened and we ended up talking to one of their neighbors who has some hard things going on in her life right now, and how she just needed someone in her life- she hadn't had time to eat all day, so we gave her the food!

General conference was an experience, we watched it with members and a cute family that we are teaching! Each one fed us! We ate so much food this weekend! It was kinda hard to understand in Spanish, but I understood the gist of what was being said, and am so excited to listen to them in English soon! My miracle from conference was that my question was still answered, even though it was in a different language, the holy ghost really enlightened my mind and helped me understand the Spanish!

Also one of the pictures below is my companionship and the companionship we live with in our matching pajamas:)

I love you all so much, remember that trials only last a moment, and the reward will be Heavenly!
My question for the week is: Are you looking at the eternal perspective? How can you see the full picture?
