Doubt Your Doubts

This week I studied a little about the priesthood, and a little about the power of doubt. I was teaching a lesson to a friend and we got onto the subject of the priesthood, and he asked why women can't hold the priesthood. And I honestly didn't really know, I ended up talking about how Adam came first and he was given the priesthood, and that was just kinda how it was... something that was kinda hard to explain in English was very hard in Spanish!
But because of that, it was a question that I had- something I wanted to find the answer to!
I learned that the priesthood was the power by which God the father, and Jesus Christ created the earth, and it is how he governs the earth and the heavens right now. We have that power on the earth today, we have the potential to do these things- we just don't yet know how, or have the faith to do so. Also priesthood authority comes from ordination, but priesthood power comes from righteousness! As I strive to remain worthy to use the priesthood in my calling as a missionary, I will be able to strengthen myself to help more people!... but none of this has to do when why women can't hold the priesthood. Everywhere I looked, it said that we didn't have a lot of information on it. And I had almost accepted that, that was all I was going to get, until I saw the words motherhood and priesthood side by side. They are both sacred callings. During my studies there was a lot of times where they said that priesthood wasn't the group of men that exercised it, and perhaps in the same way that's how motherhood is. It isn't the group of people, but the calling and power behind it itself. I know that I will forever be surrounded by the power of thr priesthood, and even though I cannot hold possess it, I know that I will be able to use it to help those around me as a disciple of Christ!
I didn't finish my study on the power of doubt, but here is what I've recognized so far. There are so many stories in the scriptures where the faithful were saved, from enemies, from drowning, from sickness, etc. There is a story that has been on my mind a lot recently- when Peter walked on the water. He had the faith to step onto the boat, which is a lot of faith! I know that I will never be doing that with the expectation to float above. But when he looked around he began to sink. When we take the leap of faith, and become members of lords church its easy to look around us and be distracted- or doubt. This is a world full of questions. Questions can be good, if you search for answers with faith- and not with a screen of doubt. When we doubt, our faith is absent. In Matthew 17:20 it says "and nothing shall be impossible unto you." With faith we can do all. So this is my question: how can we have that faith? Faith like the brother of Jared- to see the hand of the Lord, or like Moses- to part the seas?
When you have questions- turn to God in faith, "nothing wavering" and you will receive an answer! Please turn to faith.

We had a lot of small miracles this week, especially with our friends we are teaching! Sometimes it was just a friend praying for us, and in front of us for the first time? Or being able to help a family we are teaching receive a comfort blessing! Or getting free fried from wendys! But it was a hard but good week!
God helps you see the miracles in your days when you are looking for them! Look for the miracles in your life! I promise you that they are there!

My question for this week is: "wherefore didst thou doubt?" Or what is thing your doubt the most, and why?
