By Union Of Feeling We Obtain Power With God

I was asked to give a little training on this talk at my district council this week, and I just loved it! I definitely reccomend reading and studying it. It reminds me of the verses in moroni 6 about meeting often. We meet often so that we can grow together and have help when we need it. We build a safe community. It's also about relationships with companions and families. There is a term in there to "swing" and it reminded me of something my mom said. Relationships aren't always 50/50. Some days one will be going through a lot, so the other partner can do more. And visa versa. It's about teamwork- the end view is an average of 50/50.

This week I studied a little about agency and the fall. One thing that I loved was "He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully" (1 cor. 9:6). We all have our agency with what we want to do while we are on earth. We can choose what we put our efforts into. We can choose work, family, church, friends, etc. What we choose to work on is what will flourish. It's like a garden. If we say we are going go pull weeds every day, but when we wake up we always decide to start in the same place- only the corn will be good when we get to harvest. But if we decide what is most important to us- and weed the whole garden we will have so much to harvest. We will have so many blessings! This is true for our actions, our works, and our thoughts.

We had icecream with an investigator this week! Our good ol' friend salvador! And since I am leaving he wanted to take some pictures with me outside his house... I'll let you guys see why we thought it was super funny. But also when we were leaving the ice cream place he asked hna peck when she was leaving and she said she probably has only another 6 weeks and he said "oh my gosh! She's leaving and now you- I'm gonna cry!" It was super cute!
We were leaving a members house from dinner, and were headed to a visit, when hna peck slowed down the car next to his house that had some free stuff outside. She said "should we?" And I said "let's go knock their door." We ended up stuffing a couch into our car...

Also... I'm going to Irving!!

This weeks question is: Where do you want to put your effort? What do you want your harvest to be?
