Confidence
This week was pretty good! There was a training in my district on bearing testimony often- and how a testimony doesn't need to be eloquent or long- it only matter that it comes from the heart. Here is a cute video to show what I mean: I Feel My Savior’s Love
Sister Farley added at the end of one of the zoom meetings we had that "Preach my Gospel is for everyone, not just missionaries." I thought of this when hermana parry and I were reading in preach my gospel about how to rely on the spirit. It says "some missionaries feel confident that they know how to be Successful. Others lack such confidence. Remember, however, that your confidence and faith should be in Christ, not in yourself." I know it days "some missionaries" but put people there instead. Some people feel...
It doesn't matter if we feel confident in ourselves- I know I've questioned myself a lot so far in the mission- what matters is that we trust God, we trust our loving brother, Jesus Christ, and have confidence in them. Read some preach my gospel this week- I can promise you that you will learn something different, or think of a new question. I know that as I've been studying and learning- I have had new questions. Embrace the new questions! It means you are learning something new!
Also this week I've studied resurrection, salvation, and exaltation. There are a bunch of things that I liked, but I'll spare you a long email. In Romans 1:16 it says "for I am not ashamed of the gospel of christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth." The gospel of Jesus Christ is literally the way. It's so simple- all we need to do is believe. Haha "anything is possible if you just believe." I'll send anyone a letter if they can tell me what movie that is from!
Biking around is really fun, I'm always tired, but it's fun! I sometimes catch myself thinking that I have a helmet on when I don't, but I can live with that! The rain came down hard on Tuesday, so I got to bike in the rain, that was fun- also a little scary, but I'd do it again!
We actually got to go knocking this week, and at one door hermana parry could see him looking through the peep hole, and we heard him lock his door, but he never said anything- he just watched us as we wrote a little card and put it in the door. I guess we will see if he decides to give us a call!
I've been meal prepping which is fun! I learned how to make chicken fried rice! Also the cups we have have cracks in them so we have to use napkins when we hold them haha! Love you all!
