Pay Day!!

This week was nothing too crazy, nothing crazy fun happened- but I re-found my fire and desire to be a missionary!!
I was on an exchange with an hermana that is going home in two weeks- and a couple of my past companions had had her, and I knew that she loved being a missionary. So I made sure to ask her why she loved being a missionary so much. And her answer wasn't some huge secret that I hadn't learned yet, but it was something that I had let myself forget. Missionary work is the best work you can do because of the little things. She related it to paydays. We aren't payed as missionarie with money- but seeing the smile of an inactive member coming back to church or of your friend you helped get baptized as they passed or blessed the sacrament for the first time- that's definitely a pay day! Seeing our friends walk into church, or when they said they loved that chapter in the Book of Mormon are such simple things that can bring us so much joy. And we are filled. Missionary work is the only job that I know of where we get payed every day for simple things like that. Ever since I remembered that, I have been ten times happier!
Even though you might not be wearing a tag, you can still have these paydays! When you do something nice for someone else, when your kids say they love you, etc. What are some paydays that you have had this week? I challenge you to write them down, because looking back will help you be happy, and feel joy even in the saddest of days!

This week I studied the Divine Mission of Jesus Christ. One thing that I really loved was the phrase "he published peace." When I think of the word publish, I think of someone putting their own work out into the world. That's what Christ did. He is the way we can feel peace, joy, and all good feelings- it's because of him. I also really liked how it said that he was sent unto the lost (Matt. 15:24). And even though we don't all like to admit it, we are all lost because of the fall of Adam and Eve-Every single one of us. He was sent here for us. It's that simple. But I guess it's okay to be lost because he is here to guide our way!

We went to lunch with a guy named Kyle, he is the manager where we do service, and always takes the missionaries out to lunch about once a transfer I think. But he took us go a BBQ place, and literally bought us so much food- it was crazy! But it was a place my dad would love!! He can finally stop asking me if I've had Texas BBQ!!

My question of the week is: When was your last "pay day"? And what was it?
