Don't Forget To Repent Today.

This week I was studying a lot about repentance, I spent most of my time reading and studying the story of Alma the younger. In his story, I saw a lot of prayer, faith, and fasting. I think those things are super important for when we are repenting. Sometimes I like to think about how Alma the older must have felt when he was watching his son go down a similar path ad he had. He had the priesthood and was tempted and became one of the wicked priests of Noah, but he was lucky and brought back to the truth. How painful it must have been to watch his son be raised in the gospel, but stray to the point of trying to destroy it. No wonder he had been praying and fasting.
I read a talk by Boyd K. Packer titled "The touch of the Masters hand." It explained what "harrowed" means. "A harrow is a frame with spikes through it. When pulled across the ground, it rips and tears into the soil." This is such a good description. When we sin, our guilt feels like a harrow, we are continually in a state of sorrow until we truly turn to our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through my reading I found 2 really good scriptures from the old testament. First, Isaiah 38:17. "Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou hast in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou hast cast all my sins behind thy back." Those feelings from the harrow are hidden, we cannot see them. We remember how they made us feel, so that we don't do it again, but it is out of sight. And he will remember it no more.
I also really loved Ezekial 33:15-16. "If the wicked restore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in the statutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die. None of his sins that he hath committed shall be mentioned unto him: he hath done that which is lawful and right; he shall surely live." All we are asked to do is to repent, to truly give up our sins to know Jesus Christ. And we will be clean. How amazing is that. I hope you know the joy that comes from repentance, it is the most joyful thing! Don't forget to repent today.

This week we got to go to the temple with 2 of our recent Converts for their first time! So cool! They are the most normal, happy people ever.

We also found a cool smoothie bowl place! It was really good! And we put one of our friends on date for baptism... yay!!

My question of the week is: How do you feel when you are forgiven?
