Moving..
This week I studied a little about missionary work. Sorry I don't have anything crazy profound to share this week, but here is what stuck out to me:
Feed my sheep. After reading a talk I really recognized that feeding his sheep means to love them, to nurture them, and to know their needs. I really like that. It reminds me of a scripture in ephesians 2:19. "Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God." Sometimes I forget that we are really all brothers and sisters. And when I think of my sisters, I would do anything for them... but everyone is a sibling. And I need to treat them that way.
A voice of warning. One of the things that was part of our mission as latter day saints is to be a voice of warning. It made me remember natural disasters. If we somehow knew that a natural disaster was coming... wouldn't we warn people? I think of missionary work as warning people about the natural man. So much can happen to a person due to the natural man that is inside each of us... but luckily we have the Holy Ghost that teaches us and helps us along the way!
How can you be a light for others?
So... I left irving. Sadness. But no worries, I'm now in Casa Linda! Which is actually super close (like neighbors) to where I started out my mission! My new companion is Hermana Wilson! And I came in with her! Its crazy, it's almost like half of the hermanas are from the generation that came in with me... but this area is so busy and it's amazing! And our apartment is so far rat free!! Wow!
Hermana Wilson and I are trying to be super healthy, we had a cute member explain some health stuff to us and I'm not sure if I'm ready for her kind of healthy... she gave us powder kale and other powdered greens.
I learned to crochet again with a super cute member! It was so fun, and she taught me how to do a new knot! Maybe it'll be a new hobby...jk I have no time!!
If you have any simple healthy recipes send them to me!!!
